Bidri-Craft

bowels           Bidri-ware is famous and well known metal craft of bidar. Bidar is a part of  North Karnataka(India).It is believed that this art is a 4000 year old which came from the culture of Persion,Syriance and Iranian. It was brought down to india by migratnts. 

This exquisite Art work is made out of Metals like Zinc(Which is a main component),copper,and some portion is lead too. Artisans melt all these metal items and pored it into their respective molds . After that they spend their time on carving on the particular work . The main and interesting part is that they use gold and silver metal for this carving .

Many product categories are there in the Bidri Art such as Jewelry Boxes, Picture Frames, Cups , Name Plates,Flower Vases , Paper Weight,Paper Knives/Paper cutter , Hukka and etc.
